Welcome to The Strand

Welcome to The Strand, a blog devoted to the discussion of fusing faith and life.

First of all, this is not like every other blog. The name is different, for one thing. It also occupies a different part of cyberspace. Finally, it's written by different people than every other blog in existence. These are three very unique qualities that should instantly convince you to devote a large part of your free or otherwise occupied time to following this web log.

Consider this our commontary. It is true that we are a few more "common" voices for you to consider, tackling some common issues. Our overarching purpose is to challenge the Christian youth of this nation to seriously examine their lives, nurture the faith they profess, and consider how and why our daily actions should clearly reflect the beliefs we claim sustain us.

We hope to do this through sharing our observations, experiences, and convictions regarding culture, theology, media, and a variety of other topics. We plan to post at least once a week and will rotate authorship between our illustrious contributors.

We invite you to follow and engage these issues with us and consider this a humble beginning to what will hopefully be a place of substantial and honest discussion.
